Washed...

When I got home this afternoon I was so excited to see an email from our agency director that said "pics."  With great anticipation I opened it to find 10 new pictures of our precious kids!  But, my excitement quickly turned to worry as I looked into their lonely eyes and lost expressions.  They were dirty and looked exhausted.  Our older two looked weary and hopeless.....as though they were carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.  I've studied their faces and tried to assign emotions to each of them as only a mother can.  They have no idea that we are coming for them....they cannot know until our dossier gets to Ethiopia.

And while I was worrying, God began reminding me that this is exactly the way I looked before He called me to Himself.....before He washed me and fed me and caused me to never be thirsty again.  He knew I belonged to Him before I did.  He is THE Father to the fatherless and He will keep hold of them until the day we come for them.

Please stand in the gap with us against satan's schemes to steal our children's joy....and please pray for all our paperwork to be accomplished quickly and in His perfect timing!  :)

He saved us, through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:5-7

Oh, Tracy. Your children really have no idea what is in store for them. So much love. So much joy. So much fun. So much REST. Holding on with you, friend.

I can only imagine the ache you feel for them right now. Soon, those lonely faces will be filled with the hope and love!

So true! Thankfully through God's grace in your life, you get to be a blessing to four precious kids. I can't wait for the day that they find out they have a family waiting for them and praying for them.

Tracy, I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited for your family!! What a blessing to you and the kiddos! It was helpful for me to read a lot about older child adoption before I adopted Yan...if you ever want book recommendations, let me know.

I will be praying for your kiddos, their hearts, and your current family at home. God is good and watching Him replace the pain in kiddos with His joy is amazing!

Lifting you up in prayer!

what a great word picture...our Heavenly Father is with them and the Holy Spirit is their comforter - we pray that they feel that presence today and every day until your arms are around them!

Just remember the "Jesus " story that Nathan told of how He was with him. He is the one preparing your children for you and keeping them close to Himself until you get there. So excited for your family. Will be praying.
