Open the Floodgates

(silence music at bottom of page)

Haiti is so close to our hearts as we've done mission work with G.O. Ministries
for years and love the people of the Dominican Republic and Haiti as our own family!  The video above will give you picture of what the heart of this ministry is.  The family at GO lives out a pure and undefiled religion as a way of life everyday, not just in time of crisis. When you support their efforts you can be sure that your contributions are flowing directly through the hands of Jesus.

Jimmy and Nash had planned on going to visit our brother  Romano sometime this month because we don't know when we'll make it down there with all of our kids coming home soon.
Then the earthquake hit.

On Wednesday morning they decided to leave on Thursday to go and take all the supplies they could gather with them.  There was no time to get the word out for supplies until that afternoon.  At 2:30 I sent a couple of emails out and did a facebook update----and by that evening all these supplies and more had miraculously arrived at our house!

Families from Nash's class contributed on such short notice!

All packed up and ready to go.
The extra heavy items that wouldn't fit will be sent by cargo plane next week.

Levi kept asking all the way to the airport, "Is Daddy going to pick up Mercy and James?"
That's how he refers to his new brothers and sister as when he doesn't want to say all their names.
Thank you, thank you, to all who brought supplies!  I truly don't even know exactly where it all came from....everyone is wanting to do something for Haiti.

I've heard from so many of you who are now inquiring about adoption.  While the orphans in Haiti will not be available for adoption for some time, there are more than 147 million children of all colors with a tragedy to call their own.  They need a family to love them, a mommy and daddy to share Jesus with them, a community just like ours who so easily responded to the call for supplies--- to supply for their needs.  And, I truly believe that if you are considering adoption for the first or hundredth time the reason is because God has a child(ren) for you out there and He is waiting for you to step out in faith to receive them.
Remember that you were in His heart before He adopted you---and where would you be if He hadn't?
