My God is not short on cash.

Seriously trying to keep up with all the miracles!
So, on Tuesday afternoon I was driving home and called my dear friend and brother Caleb and left him a message thanking him for a gift he had sent us, and I let him know that it was an encouragement to us because it reminded us that God would for sure provide the remaining $1800 we had left for our adoption. That was all.
Later that evening I clicked on Facebook and saw that Caleb had set up a group to raise the remaining $ needed to bring our kids home!----and he said I'd be posting on it later on our blog. OK. WOW.
Amazingly, pledges had already begun to come in from people who heard about the need and responded in love ---and action.
Caleb says that when he heard we had a need----"blessed are your ears because they hear." Matthew 13:16----he felt the Holy Spirit telling him to do something more than pray---let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth.----1John 3:18
Then---this afternoon my precious friend, C., drops by and gives me a check for $1800!
DONE. Just like that.....she just read about the need on this blog and wanted to help. Now, of course, my prideful self didn't want to take it. I know her family could use it as much as we can. But, she and her husband had heard from the Lord, and who am I to deny them the blessing of giving? It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35
This kind of love is what makes us looks CRAZY to the watching world--- sacrificing your own pleasures and comforts to invest in the eternity of others, and running to the aid of families because you know they are your family through Christ or will be someday... This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 1John 3:16
Now--- my favorite part--- All of the money pledged already will now go to Caleb and Becca's adoption of 2 more children from Ethiopia. They are working on their dossier and still have a ways to go in fundraising. So that blessing they bestowed on us is boomeranging right back into their lap!
"Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use will be measured to you. Luke 6:38
Quite often I hear people say that they would love to adopt if only it didn't cost so much......really??? Maybe the reason it costs so much is so that we can get a small sense of the price our Lord paid for us. It cost Him everything.......it cost more than everything actually. Any of us would rather suffer ourselves than see our children suffer.....and on the other side of that price tag......is where redemption and deliverance dwells. Where we can live in His resurrection power.....and pass it on...
Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Acts 2:43-45
