4 weeks home!
God bless you and thank you to everyone for your prayers and words of encouragement during this time-- in real time and in blog world!!! God has sent exactly whom and what we need at exactly the right time so often that when I hear a knock at my door I just think, "Well, of course you're here!" If I try to begin to name everyone I will surely leave someone out, but YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!--- and you are loved!!! I'm especially thankful to everyone who has walked this road before me for your wisdom and faith in what God is doing in our family!
Through the joys and hardships there is not one single second that I would trade because every bit of it has been filtered through the hands of our gracious, loving Lord. He told me at the beginning that He was purifying us and that in itself is ALL GOOD.
Elle and I put this video together of our bringing them home---- we will never be the same!

Oh Tracy, I can't stop the tears. You are beautiful in every possible way! Your family is a reflection of God's glory! You are designed to reflect Him in every way. I know the walk isn't easy, but you know first hand how worth it is for every small victory. No weapon raised against you or those children shall prosper. And I will be standing here cheering you through to the finish! Much love! Ondrea

Greg sent me the video, I watched and thanked God. Some time we'll actually have to meet! :-) I also forwarded it on to Jess, our photographer friend who traveled to Ethiopia and Uganda with the Cross family and adopted Nebeyu (in the video). Made her miss Ethiopia. :-)
We're going to hit the 6 month home mark with Dorothy very soon. It is a WHOLE DIFFERENT world this far down the road. So many of the struggles, the exhaustion, are now absorbed and our "new normal" is flourishing, and big grin worthy!
You sound like you have plenty of support, but if you're interested in more or other perspectives, I'm part of a great local adoption group. A coffee/dessert meet-up is the 16th.

We just found your blog through LifeSong and we were encouraged to see another family that is as crazy as we are. We brought home 4 siblings from Ethiopia about 15 months ago and no one could have prepared me for the joys and heartaches we have endured this first year. I would love to talk to you and hopefully encourage you, if you need it : ) Our blog is not updated (I'm not really a blogger by nature and I'm still struggling to make life work with 6 so, no time) But, you can read some of my early, raw emotions on it that might resonate with you. Also, look closely at our Ollie, who looks like a younger 'twin' of one of your boys! www.ethiopianbrowns.blogspot.com email is: westbrowns@comast.net : )
Blessings to you, B
You are an inspiration to us, as we are weeks away from accepting our referral for a sibling group of 4. I have watched your video over and over. Thank you..
